very true, but I think this album may put 1967 into the future (dance music esque too, as mentioned before)

yeah i don't know about that, the Secret Machines are backing him on the track so it's not even a U2 thing. They've always been very specific about separating their work, ala Million Dollar Hotel and ATYCLB were done at the same time, and certain songs just fit that soundtrack and not the album. not sure if that even makes sense to what you said, but i'm trying to say that I don't think that the movie entered too much into the consciousness of the band. i know Bono used the "psychedelic pop" term for Window in the Skies....which i guess i understand? haha

i don't necessarily want to hear that term for the album, but i think this album is going to blow us all away, and we all know that a lot of Bono's hyperbole is just that; hyperbole. we'll only know when it comes out

All I meant was it couldve gotten into Bono's head a little bit. Besides, he most likely played that role because of how much he loves John Lennon and everything he's ever done. I still like to think late 60s music has a good percentage of influence in whats soon to come.

Wow, take it easy, my friend. Good music is nice, but not in that way. It was more than I wanted to know... Pervert!

  9. If there doing "PSYCHEDELIC POP" maybe it will sound a bit like The Doors. I'd love to see The Edge get in touch with his inner Robbie Krieger.

That would be cool. Perhaps like Brian Jones and whip out the sitar? Kidding there. Perhaps what Bono meant by Psychedelic was "melting", or the molten metal thing we heard. Last time I checked Metal and Pop are almost polar opposties. I'm still going with the NLOTH recording until I get clearer stuff.
  11. certainly sounds exciting regardless of what name you want to attach to it!
