Sorry, I know nothing about guitars but I just think that this song is one of the best they ever made...
Surrender is nice too, but I truly hope that the new album has something psychadelic
  2. Steel Guitar is basicly a table with guitar strings ran across it. Its what you hear in the chorus to Surrender.

maybe thats one of the new instruments that will be big with the album... steel guitar is awesome! So many good songs from them (Time Is Passing, No Expectations).

ok, the difference between steel guitar and slide is steel is the table guitar as Aaron said

a slide guitar is someone playing a guitar, but with a slide guitar thingy (for lack of a better word) on their finger to change chord sounds

here's an example of slide guitar:

i know, it could've gone into guitar q&a, but this is about what could be a song on the new album! plus what about the continuum fingerboard though? that got a lot of hoopla and whatnot. then again I've answered their question with the vid so it's all good.
  9. What song is that you posted? No matter. Heres Surrender at Devore . Its that thing hes playing over by the piano.

It could be on the new album, but I doubt it. Bono said it would be released officially and it already has been released - as a B-side to Smile (a single in Chile, if I remember right).
