    A U2 Frenzy has overcome me, overwhelmed me. Taken me to places I have'nt seen or heard. In a Coldplay Hangover that I can't seem to get over. I find myself coming back to U2 in a much brighter sense of things. For a while I almost didn't listen to U2 for weeks. I let it go, let it slip, but not completely fade away. In the hopes that Coldplay would somehow fulfill my anxiety and anticipation for something different yet familar. I realize I need U2. Albums that are post Dismantle seem to be what I've held onto, Unrealeased and Rare, Beach Clips. I find myself turning the page back to the begining, October, War, Boy. ZooTV Joshua Tree...... U23D... I realize through all this that I miss U2. And with the magical sounds of Bono and Edge ringing through the crowd singing Happy Birthday.. The future seems somehow, better, greater, higher. All I want is U2...

    So now I wait patiently for an album that will speak to me, help me, guide me..
    Too much expectations?, Not for me. I haven't been dissapointed yet!!!!

    Anyway, this is what's been on my mind. Thanks for reading!! Much Love my U2 Friends!

    I think I'm far gone in U2 Bliss right now and I haven't been smoking Ultraviolet Blunts either

    Which is to say i didn't cry, i merely severely modified or burned every image of George Lucas i could find

    Le chroniqueur, Philippe Rezzonico du Journal de Montréal dévoile dans un article des remarques de Daniel Lanois vis à vis du nouvel album de U2 :

    «Ça va être différent à bien des égards, mais je crois que c'est similaire sur un aspect, à savoir que ça va repousser les limites connues sur le plan sonore, comme Achtung Baby l'a fait dans le passé.»

    «Maintenant, on travaille avec des périodes de création bien définies. On se réunit quelque part et on travaille deux semaines sur tous les aspects possibles. Puis, on vaque à d'autres occupations durant trois semaines avant de se réunir encore. Ça demande une forme de logistique, mais pour la création, c'est comme si tout était frais chaque fois que l'on se retrouve.»

    «Je joue des instruments, je fais des voix hors champ. Bref, je fais que ce que je peux (sourire), dans la mesure où ça me permet de contribuer à l'ensemble.»

    et de dire par rapport à la sortie de l'album enfin d'année :

    «Concrètement, oui. On vient tout juste de le terminer. Quoique j'y retourne dans deux semaines pour la dernière fois, juste afin de compléter quelques mixes.»



    The Journal of Montreal has an article about the new album with Daniel Lanois...I've done a very, very rough translation...

    “It will be different in many aspects, but push the limits on the level of sound like Achtung Baby in the past. They are also occupied with other things three weeks before meeting again.” “I play of the instruments, I make voices except field. In short, I make that what I can (to smile), insofar as that enables me to contribute together.” and to say compared to the exit of the album at the end of the year: “Concretely, yes. One has just finished it. Though back in two weeks for the last time, just in order to finish some mixes.”
