1. Haven't heard the whole thing yet, but it sounds promising
as does all the rest of the album.
  2. Had my first listen to the album today (for those who wanna listen in a legal way, this site offers it, I can translate the interview if anyone is interested, but it's not really groundbreaking).

Not too impressed just yet, it's seems to lack a bit on heavy disorted guitar etc, nice piano work tough

Highlights were Unnatural Selection and the epic Exogenesis Symphonies
After one listen that is, more detailed review will come in a couple of days/weeks

Hehehe, the song names rock on this one
    But indeed...quite worrying lol
  5. *spoiler*

I'm left quite unimpressed by the album. None of the 3 fully use their skills, Matt never shows the amazing range of his vocals. There are some sweet quitar riffs, great bass lines and fine drumming, but on the whole, Muse can do much better. The Symphony is a gem, but as you might have noticed as well, the orchestral part from Symphony pt. I sounds like the synthetizer from Bliss and the piano intro to Symphony pt. II is just like the one Matt plays live before New Born.

Hopefully this one is a grower unlike their previous albums.

    I sort of agree

Do you have a favorite Muse album(just to now what side of the band you like)?
  8. MKULTRA is named after thr US group who supposedly brainwash people into killing, Bellamy believes they killed Lennon.

I have to say that I disagree with you. I've had a couple of listens to the album and I think it's fantastic. It's got some great guitar lines, bass lines, drums, and quite a lot of nice piano from Matt which I always like to hear. I also like that they're using some nice layered vocals on this album. Lastly, I believe that many of the different sides of Muse are shown on this album. You've got some edgier, more Black Holes and Revelations-esque songs, such as Resistance, then you have some more original Muse sound like in Unnatural Selection. There's also some very different stuff from them, such as Undisclosed Deisres, which I love to see. My favorites are the 3 previous songs I just mentioned, United States of Eurasia (VERY Queen-esque but incredibly cool), and of course the 3 part epic symphony that is Exogenesis. Some wonderful stuff from Muse in my opinion.
  10. Im going to my 1st u2 concert on sept 24. Muse is opening.
Q: The show is set to start at 7pm, is that the time Muse goes on and starts playing?

  11. That's gotta be Absolution. Black Holes and Revelations coming as a close second, but I enjoy the early stuff, too. I guess The Resistance takes a couple more listens to get into. You usually like the previous albums since the first moment you hear them. This is...different.
