  1. The show last night was fantastic. The rotations were: Plug in Baby, Sunburn(!), Map of the Problematique, Hysteria and Take a Bow. Very happy to see all of those. Looking forward to tomorrow night, hopefully Apocalypse Please will show up.

    Dead Inside
    Psycho (no Drill Sgt)
    Mercy
    Reapers
    The Handler
    Defector (no JFK)
    Revolt
    Aftermath

    ...and that's it. Eight songs.

    Hey, Radiohead did it on their last album and it worked out pretty well...hmmmm, maybe not.

    I would put out Mercy and Revolt (really hate these two) and put in The Globalist. so it's 7...

  6. It's absolutely terrible I'm starting to skip it while listening to Drones. I've given it enough chances but it just doesn't work.

    And well we're all not even considering Drones (the song)... Which is understandable

    Drones song is not even song... it's just more or less outro for Globalist and I always finish with Globalist...

    This is also my version of Drones, except add JFK to Defector.

    I'm still on the fence about Revolt. It's weird because it's a topic Muse would write a song about, but it's so cheesy and doesn't work unlike Mercy's brand of cheese.

  10. I remember writing about this back on my initial listen of Drones, but Globalist sounds like a lazy version of Exogenesis. What made the Exogenesis Symphony a genius composition is the fact it contains three movements that are on their own very good, but spectacular in the context of each other. Globalist does have multiple "movements" but each one felt incomplete to me, so I didn't find it satisfying to listen to.
  11. I agree that it might feel "incomplete" or too patched at times, but to the point of not including it in your Drones album listens?
  12. At over 10 minutes it's a really long track. I could overlook most of its shortcomings if it were a shorter track, but it's hard for me to justify listening to 10 minutes of sound that doesn't make me feel good. The only other official track I have on my playlists that's over 10 minutes is Bad/40/Streets from the Electrical Storm single.
