1. Hey all!

I don't have enough knowledge to make a matrix of two bootlegs etc. But I'm certainly interested in that kind of stuff. Can someone tell me what programs I should use to make a matrix and to add bass and stuff to songs?

I have Soundtraxx, but that's not a good one, I think. I also tried Audition but that takes quite a time to get used to.

Nothing really helpful to say Casper, I have Audition too and I don't understand it at all!! It opens up and I'm like :"...umm...let's see...what does that button do...aha...nice...what the fuck?! Where did my files go...whaaa...?!"

    Whaha..exactly..
  4. Next question: I'm ripping the Chicago DVD again because last time I lost the last three songs.
I'm now ripping to 192 bitrate WMA with English DTS (IMTOO), but it takes years to see any progress! Is that normal?

G'day Casper! Remember official DVDs likely have the CSS (content scrambling system) copy protection included too (unless it's already been ripped to your hard drive) so it's getting past that - and yes, the audio is more protected than the video, would you believe. WMA is and can be a larger format than MP3 (also depending on what bit rate you rip at so at 192Kbps) it's saving files of up to 10MB size. And being the DTS rip it's even bigger again (250-600MB+).

    No worries.

I think in Audition, if you know of the Multi Track layout (which is what you want) you would simply add one song to the top (maybe vocals for more prominence at certain parts) and a good recording like a Chrisedge or soundboard). Then use the Filters menu to do something there - maybe increasing the audience recording at certain times like the cheering and tone down the volume if there's someone screaming and just see what comes.

Also you can do sweeping effects to make it sound like the vocals are going right around the room.

Right..well, I would love a matrix of Saitama's IEM and audience..heaven on earth
  9. If you want any extra filters for Audition for FLAC, OGG, AAC and AC3 as well:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZD377R4O

Unzip and copy each FLT file in each zip file to C > Program Files > Adobe > Audition. Then you can open and save those file types.

No reason it can't be done. I'll try it. I'm off, so I'll catch you later. Good luck!

that wouldn't be bad at all. You'' do very well to better that audience recording though. Make sure you post your results
