U2start.com | U2 Cover Cd!

hey guys! Ok, so its pretty safe to say that we're all bonded by the music that U2 makes. For us die-hards, we have all said to ourselves, "if only they would've done this, or extended that, blah blah blah". For example, the solo in Love is Blindness (live from ZooTV), if only Edge would've extended that for a few more minutes. The goosebumps are there, but they end abruptly. Please (Popmart), if only they would've extended the bridge when Bono is just screaming Ayahahhh and they are just completely in their own world. I hope you guys get the point. Anyway, I'm in a band called Ghost. I have been a die-hard U2 fan now for about 7 years. I had the honor of playing "ISHFWILF" with them at East Rutherford NJ on May 18 2005. But that's another story. So, being a musician and understanding what "soul" is all about, its been a dream of mine to put out a cover cd for a while now. Well, that dream is finally coming true!!! I have found a record label that would love to put out the record. More info on the release date etc. to come, but right now I am in brainstorming mode. I figured I would ask you guys what songs you would like to hear. I know the obvious, so I compiled a list that of my personal favorites and songs I would love to hear, and you guys as well. I am going to take liberty with the songs and do what I've always wanted to hear more of.

interestig topic and many thanks for trying to get us involved. I enjoyed your bands rendition of I Still Haven't Found. Especially towards the end when you played it really fast with heavy drums. Fantastic but please tell me that you aren't the lead singer

Amazing story either way.

I agree with Love Is Blindness extended solo so definitely try that. Also give Desire a go (extended version, ala 1990-01-10 Rotterdam)

yep, include every snippet there is for that song! Satellite of Love, Ruby Tuesday, Sympathy, Walk on the wild side, maybe even 40 and All I Want Is You!

Again about snippets, Exit should of course have van morrison's gloria and maybe even riding on the storm.
