1. Right, this isn't perfect, nor do I think it's completely realistic per se but I think there might be something in it. It was a case of trying to find a balance between what I'd like to see and what we probably will see. On a sidenote, I also tried to work out a way that would allow Edge to cut down on the amount of guitar changes (and give Dallas a bit of a breather backstage...) :-

    Main set

    1 - Get On Your Boots (*1)
    2 - Vertigo
    3 - I Will Follow
4 - Even Better Than The Real Thing
5 - Until The End Of The World > (*2)
    6 - > Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (*3)
    7 - I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    8 - Magnificent
    9 - Moment Of Surrender
    10 - Unknown Caller
    11 - Beautiful Day
    12 - Bad/When I Look At The World (*4) >
    13 - > City Of Blinding Lights >
14 - > Where The Streets Have No Name
    15 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For/Stand By Me

    Encore

    16 - God Part II (*5)
    17 - The Fly (*6) >
18 - > Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
    19 - With Or Without You/North & South Of The River/Shine Like Stars (*7)

    2nd Encore

    20 - Breathe
    21 - One
    22 - All I Want Is You (or '40'?)

    --------------------------------------

*1 - similar intro. to what we saw for the Grammy/Brit/Echo award performances. At the end of GOYB, Larry segues into the opening beats of Vertigo and Edge rips open with the Tele.
*2 - similar style segue to ZooTV, both in G.
*3 - possible lead of sorts into I'll Go Crazy... perhaps? Live performances of WGRYWH end on a C chord, and perhaps they could work out a segue of sorts seeing as I'll Go Crazy... is in C...
*4 - simply because it's probably the best snippet they ever worked into Bad and in a thematic sense it would help link into the major segue of Bad/COBL/WTSHNN, the former 2 being played in A and then Streets in D á la Vertigo tour.
*5 - At the end of the main set, lights go out, everyone makes lots of noise etc. Adam and Larry walk on first in the darkness. As they start playing, lights focus on them. Bono walks on next, complete with lights following him around. Edge appears last with Strat. in hand, light focusing on him too (you get the idea). As Bono sings "I...I...believe in love", Larry opens up with the drums, lights go nuts and the place takes off.
*6 - I dunno why, but I'd just love to see Edge play it on his Explorer. Can't decide whether I'd have them play á la Elevation (i.e. in Ab) or Eb á la ZooTV/Vertigo though - the former would be cool because I think most people love that format, but the latter still rocks and would make the subsequent segue into Ultra Violet much simpler (one because they're same key and two it would mean one less guitar change for Dallas if he used the Explorer...).
*7 - the N&SOTR snippet I had in mind would be

"Some high ground is not worth taking
Some connections are not worth making
There's an old church bell no longer ringing
And some old songs not worth singing
    "

Again, I wouldn't say this is a necessarily realistic expectation for the next tour, but if they rolled a setlist like this or similar, I'd die happy

  2. I would enjoy something like this:

    Electric set 1:
    1 - Breathe
    2 - Magnificient
    3 - Vertigo
    4 - Gloria
    5 - Pride
    6 - Moment of Surrender
7 - Get on your Boots
    8 - One

    Acoustic set:
    9 - Desire
    10 - White as Snow
    11 - I will follow

    Electric set 2:
    12 - Elevation
    13 - I'll go crazy tonight
    14 - Mysterious Ways
    15 - Beautiful Day
16 - Where the Streets have no Name

    Encore 1:
17 - No Line on the Horizon
    18 - The Fly
    19 - Bad

    Encore 2:
    20 - Discotheque
    21 - 40

Nice set Alex, we sure have a great evening if they play that
But I think you could/should count on more Pop and Zooropa stuff in the setlists (at least more Pop). If you include Dirty Day and Please for Desire and Pride I'm one happy dude

Yes, I understand. I just thought we might give the older crowd something more to sing along with.

As you might have noticed, I already dropped SBS, NYD, BTBS, ISHFWILF, RTSS, AIWIY, WOWY, SYCMIOYO and Walk on. I was afraid to drop even more audience faves - I don't want to disappoint the old crowd too much. Maybe including Staring at the Sun or Stay could do the trick.

Yeah, SATS or Stay would work indeed
But I'm afraid there's quite a big chance the older fans will get slightly dissapointed next tour
'The future needs a big kiss', I think that songs from 1980 don't fit in that line
    But we'll see
  6. i reckon the new setlist wil go something like this :
    00.Fez / Being Born
    01. No Line On The Horizon
    02. Get On Your Boots
    03. Out Of Control
    04. New York
    05. Beautiful Day
    06. Pride
    07. City Of Blinding Lights
    08. White As Snow
    09. Until The End Of The World
    10. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    11. Love And Peace Or Else
    12. Stand Up Comedy
    13. Magnificent
    14. Where The Streets Have No Name

    15. Mofo
    16. Last Night On Earth
    17. Discotheque
    18. Mysterious Ways
    19. The Fly
    20. Bad / Please (snippet)

    21. Breathe
    22. WOWY
    23. Love Is Blindness
    24. Moment Of Surrender
    25. Vertigo
  7. I would like to hear them play Acrobat, Lemon, Love Is Blindness in the upcoming tour.
I do not wish to hear elevation and until the end of the world.

  8. Stuck In A Moment - Running To Stand Still

Listen to the guitar part on the studio version of Stuck In A Moment, it a really blues gospel sound. The guitar sound very like the sound used on edges guitar during RTSS ZooTv style. So play Stuck, just edges bluesy style guitar and then segue in RTSS (zootv style). How amazing would that be!
  9. I don't know, just throwing in my two cents here...but here's what I came up with...

    Magnificent
    GOYB
    City of Blinding Lights
    Elevation
    Stuck in a Moment
    No Line
    Moment of Surrender
    Unknown Caller
    Beautiful Day
    Kite
    Crazy Tonight
    Stand Up Comedy
    Breathe
    Walk On
    Bad
    Sometimes You Can't...
    Cedars of Lebanon
    One
    Where The Streets
    (encore break)
    Zoo Station
    The Fly
    Angel of Harlem
    Miss Sarajevo
    Window in the Skies
    Vertigo
    "40"

After more consideration, I really do think they'll play Cedars of Lebanon...they do the whole ONE Campaign / human rights gig about every concert, and I think Cedars is a good segue into the traditional numbers for that part, One and Where The Streets...we'll see, I suppose. I don't have too many of the lesser-known tracks on here...but I think those were tour material, and that they'll kind of stick to songs from previous albums that are better-know. Anywho...yeah. Should be fun, any way they do it.
  10. again people are out making this a greatest hits tour i'm telling you pop is gonna make a strong comeback along with zooropa.
  11. After listening to TUF yesterday I'm positive that we're having a lot of that back
I'm thinking of Bad-MLK-Streets, I think that would work awesome
And maybe a comeback of The Unforgettable Fire (song) just before they kick in Unknown Caller?
  12. Harry, that's one mother of a detailed setlist
