As I said, it's not true...
The very hardliners say it's forbidden, the a LITTLE BIT better ones, that is the ones that talked for us in school said that "musical instruments that are only used in parties and for having fun" are forbidden, but if they can also be used for other stuff, then they're not forbidden

But mainstream islam, the true one, has no problems with music, as long as it doesn't stop you from doing your religious deeds. I'm a believing Muslim and I listen to U2 as much as you guys do, and I also play guitar myself and I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong
  2. As long as you're doing the right thing why should you stop doing what you enjoy?

I know you said it's not true but I just put bit rough for them to say that, isn't it? When you know it isn't.

Well, they believe they are right...and their minds are too closed to even discuss it with them...yep, it's rough, and they're rough people
  4. Hey Mystere4 !!!
Just wanted to say hello from TX USA!!!!
Iv'e been to Manhatten !!! I LOVE New York!!!

By the way your not alone!!! I teach Middle School Orchestra and Piano!! And what's crazy is before your post I actually was playing my U2 in the classroom as the students were walking in. I left it playing while I was taking roll and all that good stuff. It was interesting to hear some of the comments, for example I had on the Numb (Assasins Remix) and one of my students said "why are we listening to rap", HA!!! U2 Raps!!
I also find ways to use U2 in my classroom !! They are a great teaching resource!!

Iv'e sent a PM about your requests don't know if you've been helped!!!

    Take Care and Welcome!!

    Educators and U2 Unite!!!!!
