1. Hi everbody

Here we've got an asskicking soundboard, remastered from a great guy called tom.

This version is converted to mp3 using lame 3.97 with -V 0 --vbr-new.

To give you an impression, feel free to listen to a mp3-sample in -V 4 from "ABACAB":

If you like the great "Live Over Europe" from the 2007 Tour, especially because half of the songs were performed already 26 years (and even longer) ago, I sure you'll appreciate to get a complete ABACAB - Live show .....

The setlist is a dream and the sound from an over 26 years old gig is incredible!

Liner notes (by David Dunnington, author of The Complete Guide To Live Genesis Radio Shows, http://radioguide.genesis-movement.org):

"Unearthed after decades, here's an absolutely sparkling gem: a landmark recor-ding from the iconic Abacab tour. Digitised from tapes taken from the mixing desk, this complete sound recording far outshines the nearest rivals in terms of sound quality and integrity - the poor distorted soundboard from Cincinnati and the overdubbed partial multi-date offerings which comprise the Three Sides Live album and related radio shows.

"Genesis, captured in Frankfurt near the midpoint of their tour schedule, deliver a brilliant performance: technically precise and flashy, yet at the same time attacking the material with an enthusiasm that signals passion and commitment to their new musical direction. A well balanced set showcases Abacab material alongside new takes of old concert favourites including Firth Of Fifth, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and Carpet Crawlers. Phil's ascendancy as the confident front man is almost complete, while continuing the tradition of outrageous stories (and challenged language skills!) between songs.

"Bizarrely this recording surfaced as an optional extra to a tour shirt auction on Ebay. The GASP team rapidly coordinated to secure multiple CD versions (original tapes not being available) which were painstakingly merged and edited to remove many flaws, providing fundamental restoration groundwork. From this platform a host of further treatments and refinements are hereby added. First and foremost correction of a couple of gross errors: speed is slightly decreased and a large timing error between stereo channels has been rectified. Other restorations feature CEDAR denoising, removal of a buzz which was particularly intrusive during song introductions, auto-balancing to give a more even stereo image. Final improvements to the aural picture include the addition of reverb via Lexicon 960L to enhance concert atmosphere.
TM Productions presents a polished jewel: the quintessential Abacab show!"

    Enjoy! Cheers,
    tom
