I've heard Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall a on the radio a few times. I don't listen to radio though.

In the recreational room at school the only kind of music played is shit music. Except for the time when I took the computer and started Breathe, and the time a friend of mine played BD because of me.

Viva La Vida was the song that certainly was most aired in 2008 for instance, so I think they still are. We'll see about the Mylo Xyloto impact though.

Viva La Vida that got a lot of hype not only because it was catchy but also because of the Joe Satriani (I think it was him) issue.

If we talk about airplay, then U2 is still very big here in The Netherlands. The radio station at my work plays popular music most of the time but every day I get to hear U2 at least once and by Coldplay they only play Paradise because its a hit now.

Coldplay is not huge in America, kind of like how U2 is not huge in America, kind of like how Muse is not huge in America.

Instead, we get all this hip hop/rap garbage and shit like "Like a G6." There are some days when I will be walking about in public places and will be ridiculously excited to hear a U2 song played on the radio. There was one time I heard the 2B version of No Line On The Horizon playing in an oddities shop and I literally flipped out. Also, a school event was playing Streets just before opening and it brought shivers down my spine.

But yeah, some days I am sad for Americans and their crappy taste in music...
