1. That's my birthday present sorted - a ticket for Coldplay. Seeing them in Sunderland on the 7th of June.

Delighted! Makes up for the disappointment of not getting a ticket for the Glasgow gig in 2 weeks time
  2. I'm excited. Coldplay are rumored to be playing on a hotel inauguration in January on a square in town.

Free Coldplay concert, I'm fucking excited!
  3. okay, here comes the most unusual coincidence I could possible think of.

here's what I did in the past few minutes:

    -go to YouTube
-search for videos of Doolin, Ireland
-finding some nice vids of tunes played in pubs
-watching this, watching that, clicking on links here and there, ending up....
-reading the title "it flew away from her reach." it sounds familiar. I click on the link.

and now you tell me, is it a cover already? thought it was on the new album? I'm not that deep into CP so I'm struck curious here. who's singing there?

  4. I like that. Nice clip, cool arrangement and pretty good singing. The first ten seconds are so powerful.

In order to become pervert of the year: she is a damn hot girl

It is a cover, yes. And don't be surprised - there are ALREADY around 2000 (two thousand) cover versions of Paradise.

That particular version comes from this user:
  6. Just in case someone has 15 spare minutes and wants to listen to some yelling teenagers overwhelmed by Coldplay

It actually shows how excited we were and how amazingly strong was the show start. I'd DYING to see them live again.
  7. Last night was the kick off of the Arena MX tour. According to the setlist it´s the same 90 minute set like the festivalshows in the summer.
Although it´s a great setlist it´s still too short. Why not a set of 2 hours at least?? With 5 albums you can do

    Setlist:
    Mylo Xyloto
    Hurts Like Heaven
    Yellow
    Lost!
    Major Minus
    In My Place
    What If
    Daylight
    Violet Hill
Got Put A Smile on Your Face
    The Scientist
    Up In Flames
    Til Kingdom Come
    Politik
    Viva La Vida
    Charlie Brown
    Paradise

    ENCORE:
    Clocks
    Fix You
    Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
  8. ^ Could have been at that show too Ah well.

The set is a little different from the festival shows, but not much. Good to see that they are playing 'What If' and 'Daylight' now.

  9. That.

Plus: I tried to convince myself and my friends that playing 90 minutes in Madrid was OK since it was a presentation show, bla bla bla... But I can't defend playing 90 mins on the regular tour. No no no, guys, c'mon, push yourself to 23, 24 songs, you can do it. You HAVE DONE it before.
  10. I think they'll push towards 25 songs once the stadium tour gets underway. Playing 90 minutes is pretty pathetic for Coldplay to be doing, especially when they've got 5 albums under their belt. Some bands with 2 or 3 albums can play more than 20 songs.
  11. Throughout the December Tour, they're going to give the same glowing wristbands as they gave out in Madrid:

I don't get it either. R42 keeps saying that they are rehearsing some of the newer songs without problems and all this stuff, yet they aren't playing half the stuff off their new album still. At one point he i recall him saying they were rehearsing DLIBYH, before the album announcement that is.

And odd they pull out Daylight and What If. I didn't know they were that popular, especially What If. I thought if theyd bring anything out from X&Y it would be Talk or Speed of Sound.
