Fix You is the closest thing they have, but it's definitely not on the same plane of existence as Streets, if you know what I mean.
    Coldwhat?

I hate chairs in GA, I didn't know (or remember) CP was one of the acts that still do it. It was absolutely not the case for both Madrid shows I attended, and I don't recall seeing GA chairs in any other European shows, but I lost track some years ago so I could be wrong perfectly. Or many it's just a US thing (I think so).

I'd say Fix You, God Put a Smile Upon Your Face and Viva La Vida are their Streets-substitutes. Having seen all of them live, obviously none of them reaches the epicness of Streets but they're the most similar in their field.
  2. Viva la Vida is their Streets. It is epic.

But I think Charlie Brown is the better song live. It's tons of fun.
  3. Anyone forgetting clocks
  4. I agree to a certain degree... but Clocks doesn't feature any kind of crescendo, it goes 0 to 100 after the piano intro, so it lacks a bit of that power.

Toronto 2006 is great with that extended outro.

I always thought it was a phenomenon specific to Asian groups (kpop, jrock, etc.), but I do recall seeing other Western artists implement it in their shows. I think it may be a venue specific thing to artificially reduce the number of available seats so they can jack up ticket prices. When I told my friends that GA tickets for U2 gigs can be secured for less than $100, they thought I was joking.

My personal highlight of the show was Midnight-Charlie Brown. The shorter version of Midnight makes the song more powerful as a lead-up into the high energy atmosphere of Charlie Brown. Another highlight of mine was the young band, A-Side, got the opportunity to perform as one of the show openers. For context, Chris had performed with this group of teens before during a benefit concert in support of Chords2Cure. These guys put up a really good act and a very respectable cover of Twisted Logic.

    Best bit of the show

    Amazing stuff

Hope they come back to the UK next year. I'd go and see them again but of course, U2 takes priority.
