    Beckham won't rule himself out until the World Cup has been lifted by the captain of the winning team.

    He spent many weeks intensively recovering and regaining fitness for the 2002 World Cup after Duscher broke his metatarsal during a Champions League game. Different kind of injury this time but Beckham is Beckham.
