    It was a great player , i dont know how is he playing now , i think is not a great incorporation for United . United is one of the best teams of the world so you have to buy players that have a good present. In a smaller club Ballack would be great !

    Very. Sneijder has a mixed response among fans. Some see him as a great asset, some believe he has a limited amount to offer. I'm not sure. We'd have to pay more than we would in the summer market, particularly so close to the deadline day. Probably have to buy him blind (no medical) so that's a risk. There's no doubt he has talent, but could he fit into the squad? Possibly.

    If we bought him today, I'd be happy because he's a strong player with bags of skill. Maybe two months down the line, the romance will have worn off?

    Well I don't know how he's been playing either but he's the kind of player we need. Carrick is his current equal, but I'd say Ballack's defending and holding nature is much better. Carrick probably has a greater range of passing. The big difference is that Ballack is a leader and will set the players straight when they mess up. Something we massively miss.

    Yes , Guarin moved to Inter..is a good player with a lot to give , he is not going to save the team ....

  7. None of the big clubs are really doing anything in England. United have sold a couple of players (Diouf, Morrison), Arsenal have loaned a player out, Chelsea haven't moved...

    Usually it all kicks off in the last hour

    EDIT: And if things weren't bad enough, De Gea has called in sick and Lindegaard is now injured. Looks like Tomasz Kuszczak will play tonight.

    EDIT2: Maybe I should have a walk down to Old Trafford, see if I can spot any big name players

  10. anyone remember Rudi Assauer? he was manager of Schalke 04 for two times, he made Schalke matter again in the 90s and 00s, it was with him we won the "4-minutes-championship" in 2001 before Bayern Munich stole the title again, he signs responsible for.... well, I don't want to bore you. For many things, the important things. One of those rare characters that fans will remember forever.

    Anyway, news are out today that Assauer has Alzheimers, and already for two years. So sad for this man, a true original of our area

    that´s true. it´s amazing and weird at the same time to be online at the S04 forum right now. everyone, everyone shares the sadness and plans for the message of support on Saturday before the match. it is like a shared memory of the days he brought to us, and the tears are flowing. That happening on a fanbase that is too used to fight each other verbally on the forum is a strange thing to witness. it always takes the sad and bad things to make people remember what really matters in life
