    Nah, disagree. He may be better than Carroll and Torres but some clubs still have common sense. £25m for a player who has decreased in value (€27m to Madrid, then €15m to Inter) is fair considering the time it is on deadline day.

    Dutch sources seem to be driving the rumour.

  6. Oh well, I think the mentality from Ferguson is "I went for him in the summer, he messed us around, I'm not going back for him." - it was just speculation, no formal bid was made for the player as far as I'm aware. We all know Ferguson has a line that you do not cross.

  11. The headline will be Louis Saha from Everton. A real good player in my mind. They've sold Pavlyuchenko for £8m. Corluka, Pienaar and Bassong have gone out on loan. They're also hoping to secure Ryan Nelsen on a free. Some good players out, only one good player in.
