1. It'll be a close game for sure, over two legs though Real Madrid should be able to come out on top. Bayern are a strong team, but I don't know if they could cope with the onslaught from Madrid they're likely to face at the Bernabeu. Mourinho is a clever man and he will do everything he can to make sure his side come out on top.

Likewise for Barcelona, if Milan play like they did in the 1st leg vs. Arsenal or if Chelsea get their act together, over two legs they can be beaten. Nobody should forget that Madrid have a huge lead over Barcelona in La Liga, so Barcelona must be doing something wrong...
  2. I don't think we should quite rule out Apoel yet.
  3. APOEL are going out. As wonderful as it is to have a Cypriot team in the quarter finals, they're out of their depths now. Basel discovered that in the last round with a 7-0 demolition at the hands of Bayern.
  4. i don't think having Real - Apoel as quarter-final is something wonderful
unless you're a madridist supporter of course
  5. +1. Apoel should have been paired with Marseille or Benfica to make up for a more interesting match.
  6. Handy comparison table for anyone interested.

  7. Manchester United vs. Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup tonight, starting 11 is still unknown but let's hope that the young Dutchman Gyliano van Velzen is playing.

I was at the game last year and for me, he was arguably better than Keane, who got a hat-trick.

    EDIT: van Velzen is playing
  8. Well they have 6 away games (with poor away form) and a Chelsea side that is just starting to bounce back. Not to mention Man Utd at home.

EDIT: Meanwhile in the FA Youth Cup semi final - Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea. Van Velzen has been poor. Chelsea have just sent on a player called Nortei Nortey.
  9. for those of you more familiar with the other European leagues:
Schalke vs Bilbao --> what are the chances? I know they kicked out ManU. Was that a lucky punch or are they really that good atm?

They played well against Man U. I think Schalke vs Bilbao may be pretty even, with a slight advantage to Bilbao.
  11. Doesn't take much to beat United these days Kirsten. Bilbao were good but I expect Schalke to put up a better fight. Bilbao lost to Osasuna in between beating United so they're hardly bang on form.

I just hope you only allocate them the same 800 seats that they gave United fans.
