  2. For those of you wondering if Apoel Nicosia have a chance tonight...

    Real madrid have a 100% record in the competition this season. In the 27 ties in which they have won the away leg they have gone on to win 26 of them. Real coach Jose Mourinho has a 100% record in Champions League quarter-finals in which his side has won the first leg. Apoel have lost all 10 European ties in which they have lost the home leg first. Cristiano Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid.

    The answer, it would appear, is none.

  5. If I were Apoel, I'd walk away from the Champions League absoutely thrilled with the progress made. Quarter-finals for them is great.

  6. THat's what Apoel's coach said the other day. They don't mind if they lost 3-0 or 8-0 in the aggregate, they couldn't care less... All they wanted is to enjoy their position, enjoy travelling to Madrid, learn all they could and just have fun

    Benifca really impressed me tonight, they deserved to go through but didnt score enough. If Chelsea keep playing like this, I think Barcelona will beat them simple.
  12. Have to agree with what Mourinho said tonight. I know he's stirring trouble but Chelsea have to face more than just Barcelona. They have to face the unbelievable bias towards the Spanish side. Not just from match officials being conned by the antics of certain players and the favourable attention Messi receives as a target but also the complete one sided mentality of the footballing nation.

    Barcelona aren't just favourites, the name is already on the trophy. It has been since the group stage began. I hope Chelsea stuff them good, but I'd also love Madrid to stuff them in the final.
