1. Fascist, extreme right and racist behaviours are becoming more and more prominent in most societies around all Europe, can't see why all the hassle because of the football thing. Hooligans have always suffered of a strong presence of fascists anyway.

agreed that it's increasing in general over Europe -- but still:

that is not a general European / football thing. We don't have that in Germany. Attack a player because he is black or Asian or of whatever other nationality? Agreed, there are a few idiots everywhere, but I don't agree on this thing increasing all over Europe. Therefor, Poland and Ukraine definitely need to act on this. And I still can't see up to this day why they got the EC at all, this was known before the event was given to them. Difficult topic, just my two pennies, no offence to anyone.
  3. Well, there are reports of racist attacks every now and then in Italy, Spain, France, etc and of course the east countries like Poland. At least they are quite common around here (maybe one a month or each 2 months). Sad but unfortunately more usual each day, each decade
  4. Yeah, there are reports in Spain, England etc but they are isolated incidents in football. If you saw the report, the Ukrainians were taking part in organised abuse as a crowd.

I'm very much with Kirsten here.
  5. uh uh, I hadn't had the time to read the full report, now I've done it... A whole crowd doing it is much different to a few organized but small groups, I agree there. That's disgraceful...
  6. Final word on the racism issue for me now:

Mario Balotelli: ""If [racism] does happen I would leave the pitch and go home, racism is unacceptable to me, I cannot bear it. We are in 2012, it can't happen. If someone throws a banana at me in the street, I will go to prison because I will kill him."

Lovely words at the end there. I hate him with a passion, but I hope he sticks to his word and walks off the field if racial abuse is directed at him.

In other news, Brendan Rogers has accepted Liverpools offer. Manchester United are apparently close to signing Shinji Kagawa from our friends in Dortmund, don't know much about him but his stats are impressive for the level he plays at. Maybe Kirsten can offer us some of her Bundesliga knowledge?
  7. To stop this ugly racism thing ....some sweet moment

  8. Haha, did he play the full 23 minutes remaining?

Referee did well to wave play on after some blatant shirt pulling from the defender, but once he broke away, wow. Brushed those players aside with ease! I would have disallowed it though for the foul on the #7 in white.

    What a moment
  9. I'm glad you liked it

I found very nice moment, I'm sensitive .... I am waiting a boy( my second child) , I imagine him playing football with me
  10. I think every father/father to be hopes for a little boy to play football with
  11. Yes , you are right .... then happen that your child don ´t like football or he don ´t want to play with you
