  2. Kamara is a hero, of course! But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Belgium won, in fact I'd be more surprised if we won! As you say Remy, they've got quality players in their line-up (moreso than we've got, in all likelihood), but it depends which Belgium turns up. I just want to see a good game and signs that we won't get totally annihilated in a few weeks' time.

    Bollocks, RVP got 2 balls at best during the matches of the WC. Problem are the wingers which dont care for an assist, but cut back inside for their own chances.

    Anyway, Huntelaar should play as will. He is less capable than Van Persie, but scores just as easiliy. There is no reason why a coach at the highest level is not able to find a system that works with two highly skilled attakers.
  4. Sneijder is terribly out of form, I'd prefer Van der Vaart any day. Much more creative, less conservative and less ego.

    Still dont understand why whole Holland blames Van Persie for losing the WC. While Robben and Sneijder clearly screwed us then. They played like juniors, receiving the ball and try to get a shot at goal without caring about other players (proof: Sneijder who kicked all free kicks > 30m at goal, Robben who 2 or 3 times shouldve passed the ball because there was CLEARLY someone in a better. Anyway, I'd would not let a tear if those two stop playing football

  5. Robben is selfish, no other way to say it. A damn fine footballer, but selfish. Sometimes it pays off and he produces a moment of brilliance, as is the case of his goal for Bayern against Man Utd a few years back. Only the very best players have the right to try something like that.

  9. Well, yeah. Either would be a great watch. Nothing against Hazard, would just be great to see £30m+ getting injured by his own teammate.

  10. Pretty much the only thing of real quality in a fairly routine 90 mins, great to see him score his first though, quality goal. If nothing else, we look like a solid unit, but we lack a bit of invention. Clearly, having Rooney back would make a big difference but still.. the future is now, so they say. Why oh why Roy didn't pick Adam Johnson; hey ho. Bring on the Euros!

  12. Highly highly true. I want Roy to do well, but every time I look at the squad list, it feels like Fabio all over again. He said he was thinking beyond the Euros, which is fair, but there are players there who shouldn't be anywhere near the squad, now or later. Downing, seriously? Used to rate him but he's lost his way big time. Henderson, honestly, hit me on the head now. Johnson is far away from being our best right back.. ah well. As ever, I keep the faith, but it remains on a knife edge.
