    Side note: When players ask for a yellow card, why doesn't the referee give them one?

  11. Yes, sarcastic. I've seen far better free kicks, Kolarov's at the weekend for example. It just annoyed me how the commentators hyped it up as though he had just done the impossible. Sure, it was good, but nothing to wet yourself over.

    As for Ronaldo, he has scored some unbelievable free kicks and has had some pretty poor ones too.
  12. Cristiano's average kicks use to go 2-3 yards above the goal He just has the (very) ocassional great kick and everybody praises him as he was from outer space or something. Anyway, (from what you say) I think Messi's praise is much bigger in the UK or other places than him. Everyone here is just so used to his awesomeness that he's barely praised anymore.
