  1. Assuming the same 4-3-3 formation:

    Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)
    Ashley Cole (Chelsea)
    Gerard Pique (Barcelona)
    Vincent Kompany (Manchester City)
    Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
    Xavi (Barcelona)
    Juan Mata (Chelsea)
    Andreas Iniesta (Barcelona)
    Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
    Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
    Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

    I think midfielders have had an exceptional year. You could easily drop a forward (Falcao) in place of an extra midfielder. But those three changes are what I'd make, I think. Kompany definitely deserves to be in there.

    Maybe Kompany but not Mata for me ....he is just now playing good , the last 2/3 months

    Are Guardiola and Ronaldo compatible?

    To be honest, I only see two successors to Fergie - Guardiola and Mourinho. I think most United fans would prefer long term stability over short-term success. Guardiola can probably offer that more than Mourinho. Will the next manager see out his career at Old Trafford like Fergie has? Probably not, but I'd like to think that the decade following Fergie's retirement will be far from like the past ten years of Chelsea.

    It'll be interesting to see how Bayern play under Guardiola.

  8. Guardiola didn't last more at Barcelona .. winning .. what if he doesn't win anything after lets say a couple of years?
  9. Well was it Guardiola, Messi or Barcelona? If he brings sustained success to Bayern as well, then we can safely say that there is more to him than just the players on the pitch.

    Barcelona is a funny one because they promote through their ranks. Guardiola came through as a bit of an unknown face to world mangement (no major honours) and after a period of huge success, he is regarded as one of the best coaches around. Mourinho took Porto to European champions, proved himself with multiple honours at Chelsea, European and domestic champions with Inter and domestic champions with Real Madrid. He's proved that he can take a job at a top club and deliver whereas Guardiola has only taken one team to the top so far.

    Personally, I hope for Mourinho.

    he could have won CL with Chelsea and Real too .. a couple of lets say "unlucky" matches with the first and at penalties in semifinal with the latter ...
    career comparisons that don't have any sense .. too early for Guardiola and he lose by far for me .. similar to Maradona-Messi

    I think a manager being 10 years in a team is a bit crazy.... just few teams have the same manager more than 5 years so 10 seems to be impossible

    Ferguson´ s career in Man. Utd in hard to believe !!! he is there for more than 20 years !!

    Here in Argentina only one manager is in a small club for 5 years and their fans called him "Ferguson" hahaha
    Here the manager go out in 2 years or less
  12. It's common in football today unfortunately. In the Premier League there are three managers that have been in charge for over 10 years - Alex Ferguson (27), Arsene Wenger (17) and David Moyes (11). Yet Chelsea have too many managers in the past ten years and only Mourinho brought strong success. I know that they reached two Champions League finals under Grant and Di Matteo but they were at their best with Mourinho.
