He was fantastic until he went to Real Madrid. He failed to replicate his Liverpool form at any of his other clubs. Of course, his finest moment was scoring the winner against Man City at Old Trafford in the 96th minute
My first World Cup Such a great selection of players on show. It was a good goal indeed, many say it was his finest moment along with his hat-trick against Germany, just goes to show how little he managed to achieve in his career.
Decent 2nd half of the Dutch squad. Van der Vaart, Robben and Van Persie were excellent with the ball. Some of the rest lagged behind, especially in the first half.
Still cant believe Robben is scared of using his right foot though. If he only would invest 1 hr per week to train his right foot he would be 10x as dangerous.
Good to hear that van Persie had a good game. I only caught the last 20 minutes of the England game. Not sure why I bothered. Hopefully Montenegro stuff them next week, or whenever the game is, and put a big dent in their chances of qualifying for Rio.
RVP missed quite some chances as well. But he was important in build up. Constantly was available and his passes were excellent. It seems his killer instinct is out of order, but you know how that goes with attackers. Can come back any time.
Well he's not been in the same form recently as he was at the start of the season for United. Still making a contribution, but not scoring. Rooney, of all players, has been better over the past five or six games. All it takes though is a decent game, a couple of goals and he'll be back. Lets be thankful that he's not Torres.
Well tonight was gist first goal since the Everton game on the 10th of February, so maybe it starts here? I hope so because Chelsea and Man City are around the corner.
