1. Nice goal, the finish reminded me of Owen vs Argentina
  2. Bayern Munich were so keen to kick-start their celebrations after beating Barcelona and making the Champions League final that they left behind midfielder Javi Martinez. The enforcer was reportedly busy saying his goodbyes to Spain team-mates in the Barca ranks after the full-time whistle, but Bayern were in no mood to hang around after their 7-0 aggregate win.

Jupp Heynckes’ men promptly loaded up their coach and set off for their hotel after cruising into the European Cup final for the second year in a row. But for Martinez, he returned to the dressing room to find everybody gone – and needed a cab to join up with the rest of his team. Martinez was eventually reunited with his team-mates later that evening, but no doubt Barcelona wouldn’t have minded picking up the 24-year-old as lost property.
