  3. Neville isn't qualified I don't think, either of them. Then we get into the likes of Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, and Roy Keane who have managed in the Premier League. Well, none of those are cut out to manage Man Utd. Bruce and Hughes are similar in that they tend to do ok at clubs with lower expectations. I doubt all Man Utd fans would welcome Hughes back with open arms since he's the former Man City manager. Roy Keane had a promising start as manager but it soon dried up and he's settled into TV punditry now.

    The wildcard choice would have been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He won two consecutive league titles with Molde and was very successful when managing the United reserves. Still very young but very much a favourite amongst fans. Probably needs to bag himself a job at a larger club (I hear Everton are after a new manager) to prove himself. Ferguson admires Solskjaer's ability, we know that much.

    but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer you surprised me ... i didn t know that he was working as a manager and with success
  5. Well, Solskjaer's team are currently bottom of the league, so I don't know what's happened there

    To coach in the Premier League, you must hold the UEFA Pro License and Gary Neville hasn't taken the course yet.

    ahhh ok ... but i think those guys sure have a good future as managers ...they still young but when you grow up with a good ( excellent in this case) coach and if you played good ...sure you will be a good coach
  7. Gary Neville is already a coach with England, I get the feeling he wants to focus on his TV career at the moment and he's receiving a lot of positive response for his work. But yes, I too think that players like Neville and Giggs would make good coaches and potential managers
  8. Paul Scholes also retiring at the end of the season (again). Just Giggsy left now, hopefully continue his record of scoring in EVERY Premier League season.

    You are young Tim , but is very strange ( for me ) seeing a lot of players working as managers today... Guardiola, De Boer , Roy Keane , The Nevilles and a lot more that i saw playing and now coachs ...sure Ronnie will feel the same ...and of course you will feel the same in a few years
  10. Yes, I am 22 Pato, started watching football around 95/96. Definitely remember watching the Euro 96 championships. So my generation of young players, that I grew up watching throughout almost the entirety of their careers, are just ending their playing days now, the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Neville etc. So it's strange to see Neville on TV instead of playing and can understand what you're saying

    I saw a player debut , all his career , then coach ..i am (only) 34!!!!
  12. There's still an awful lot of my generation still playing Those players I listed had long careers but made their debut in some cases, Giggs, long before I started watching football.
