1. I take the PL still serious but it has nothing to do with Financial Fair Play indeed. The Bundes Liga is at a very high level, but the top is smaller than in the PL.

Football has crossed the line, money determines how good you are. Which is not a problem perse, but it is dangerous. Clubs spend their money far from wisely. And in the end tax payers pay.

BRUSSELS - The European Commission has launched a series of investigations into whether Spain's football clubs have benefited from unfair tax breaks worth billions of euros.
EU competition chief Joaquin Almunia i Wednesday (18 December) confirmed that probes had started into whether seven clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, two of Europe's most successful and wealthiest clubs, had broken EU rules on state aid.

Some people call it business, but stuff like this is just corruption. Not by handing a police man some goodies to save yourself from a ticket, but on a higher level.
  2. If Ajax (or any other team) was able to get 1 bln € by playing nice with some politician they would win the Champions League as well.

The worst thing is that FIFA and UEFA condone stuff like this. They dont want politics to judge them, or they will ban you. But they will smile if they are able to make a huge profit by making new friends (Qatar).
  3. + A lot
  4. Nemanja Vidic will leave at the end of the season, I read rumours last week that Inter could be his destination.
  5. yes read about .. right in line with Thohir's project of players of 25-26 years hehehe

damn i forgot again to predict!
  6. Tim ...what happened to United ?? sure you are missing Sir Alex
  7. Fulham got absolutely battered. They came with a plan in mind and then executed it. I think Moyes needs to spend the next month on his training for crosses because when you can't create any decent chances from 80+ crosses, there's something wrong. Statistically, you can't fault Man Utd because it was so one-sided, but the only statistic that matters shows we conceded twice from almost as many chances.
  8. Any suggestions for next weeks predictions?
  9. Pl will play Feb 11/12 ? we have no time for PL

    Fiorentina- Inter
    Atalanta- Parma
    Sevilla- Valencia
    At Bilbao- Espanyol
    Nice- Nantes
    Lorient- Toulouse
    Bayer Leverkusen- Schalke 04
    Werder Bremen- Borussia Monchengladbach

I picked those for a hard round What do you think ?

If you want some Argetinian matches just said it

I had a look at some of those, thanks for other suggestions

Yes, no Premier League next weekend due to the FA Cup (Man City vs. Chelsea, Arsenal vs. Liverpool are two of the games). As far as Argentina goes, I think Boca vs. River is the only game we could include When that comes up, give us a bell!

  12. Sure! I totally agree. It's just that the whole football business is completely corrupt and disastrous, so at least we get a great stadium for concerts (which interest me far more than football anyway)
