    France won't even make it to the quarter final... they're under an evil ancient Irish spell now, condemning them to lose every match for the next 4 years to come. At least

    No chance, we only need Van der Sar back and we won't give away a single goal or penalty
  6. I'd be happy about a semi final Holland vs Germany, as those matches are very often much better in quality and tension as the final then. And if both our teams deliver a great game, a truly great game (where my boys don't play crap as usual), then the better one of that night may win -- and get the cup

    but you know, if Italy makes it to the final, then Oranje needs to let us win, because we still need to kick their butts for the 2006 semi final desaster

  10. A lot. I remember the penalty they had against Australia in Germany 2006. The player clearly dived but the ref said it was a foul.

    Its just unfair. Even a sport like tennis, where one point is a lot less valuable, uses modern technology to avoid these kind of things. We all see it, we all know it. But one little person on the field misses it and the game is played.

    All stadiums have big screens nowadays. Why cant the referee look up before signing off on the goal/offside, etc.

    Well it would be tough to judge an offside by a video, because the referee has very little time to decide in these situations. Using it for judging goals would be helpful, though.

    Remember the Chelsea - Barcelona semi-finals? Now that was something which pointed out a videoref is a necessity.
