I just wonder why they would put these on a remaster as bonus tracks. Doesn't make any sense to me. I hope they put on some rare and awesome recordings.

Maybe that's my issue right there--any live version of ASOH can't compare with the studio version.

I think both the studio and live ones rock in their own perspective.

That would be ideal. Can you imagine the lost Dortmund tracks on there?
  5. you guys think the box set was delayed to fix any misprints? that's my guess

    Why not a whole DVD?
  7. Has it actually been confirmed that they are doing UF? Honestly that sort of disappoints me. As if U2 didn't have enough reasons to be called sell outs, now they're going to reissue every damn cd they made from the 80's? The bonus tracks are cool and all, but the remasters of the original cd's aren't even that big a deal. You can barely hear a difference, and you have to have a high-fi system to basically hear it anyway. I sure as hell can't hear one. The Joshua Tree was fine and all, that whole thing made sense, seeing as it was their big breakthrough album (i guess you could say) but even the first 3 cd's are kind of crazy. What they should have done is released UABRS on dvd, just as a dvd. Then as a deluxe edition, you could pay more to have 1 or 2 more cd's of b-sides and unreleased tracks or live tracks from everything in their early days. That's what they should have done. They shouldn't even consider doing UF, because they'll just get laughed at for all this. There was already an article in my local paper saying how U2 are starting to look for money with all these remasters. We all know here that they're not, they're doing it for their fans, but its just too damn much.

Sorry if i sounded mad, I'm just trying to state a point!

Yes, it's been confirmed. The date hasn't. McGuiness sad that all the albums were getting the remasters/deluxe treatment.

Wow. Am I the only one here that thinks this is sort of ridiculous?
  12. I welcome more remasters (especially UF). I can here the difference. I dont agree with a deluxe with a bonus disc full of crap tho. All bands do this remaster business. If its packaged well and sounds good then why not?
