I wondered about this too hence it's among my faves from early live shows.

Anyhow I'm looking forward to this release as well.

I don't know if you figured, but I got the right time to become a fan with April 04' hence quite some great releases were done since then. Was a great help make me a big fan .

I also think it's a great idea and treat that they are into re-releasing stuff remastered and/or for the first time on DVD. Of course the money-aspect is a reason, but it's cool for the newer fans that want to explore the band further and with better media available...so to speak at least.

I've never seen it on VHS. It's as rare as hen's teeth down here.

Dunno, but I've always asked the same question of the Sydney DVD as to why TTTYAATW isn't on it...plus, why the hell is Boston actually a compilation of tracks from their stay at the Fleet Centre rather than one actual show lol? And why Party Girl isn't on the Chicago DVD, and why is Milan just 10 songs? The questions just keep on coming...

Me neither, my mate's dad has it but it rarely ever sees the light of day because it's treated like gold-dust lol.

I think I can answer the Sydney one at least. I heard the girl who got up to dance and canoodle with Bono during Throw Your Arms was under 18 and Bono was drinking champagne with her. Not sure whether she had any though.

Milan with 10 songs? Don't think anyone knows the answer to that one.
  5. What's hard to find on VHS?

About Milan and 10 songs, I have no idea. Seemed more like a quick effort to promote 18 Singles and another buck off Vertigo.
  6. Topic title ammended and main post edited to include Blood Red Sky Remaster details.

Ah, fair enough on the Sydney bit - talk about P.C. getting a bit ridiculous though...
  8. No need to worry about finding the VHS or not as the remastered DVD is weeks away. Good times!

The cassette of "Under A Blood Red Sky" lived in my lil Sony Walk-Thing from it's release thru to the release of "The Unforgettable Fire".

About time it's being released on DVD too. But if anyone knows the story, these remastered tapes have been waiting for the best part of 10 years. The same deal with Popmart and Sydney - they were both to be some of the first Universal DVDs available, and left in storage for 10 years (since DVD format was introduced).

And...I have the videotape of UABRS as well for 99 cents from eBay, which has the 'so-called edit' with Send In The Clowns. So mine has: Surrender, Seconds, Sunday Bloody Sunday, October, New Year's Day, I Threw A Brick, A Day Without Me, Gloria, Party Girl, 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, I Will Follow, ''40''. Some videos actually miss those songs - some distributed in Europe don't have some of those songs because of snippets and royalties.

Is it still in suitable conditon to listen to? Or did it run out of a legs a while ago?

Ah well, better late than never I guess...

I honestly can't wait for this. I wonder if they'll give us some extras?

Nothing like a bit of sugar-coating on a quality cake eh?

(don't ask where I got that comparison from, but my posterior is not the source lol...)
