It's not about the rest of the world's perception of what is and isn't their greatest song, it's the people who've voted thus far, and clearly more people think the Fly outdoes other songs on the list aside from Streets...if it was on signature songs etc., Beautiful Day would probably still be on here as would Vertigo...

    @ Vanquish: I vote for The Fly, cause it was the beginning of the new (best) U2. I'm a big fan of U2's 90s Dance Rock and The Fly is THE song of that period!
    I agree with you that Streets is THE song, but I vote for my personal fav, and not Streets because it's supposed to be THE song. I just prefer The Fly.

    Same for me here. After listening to Streets for a very long time it starts to get me bored a little bit, while The Fly excites me time after time. And The Fly is just a signature song of the new U2.
