  4. I have the strange feeling we're gonna be here a while.... and that we might be stuck until one song breaks. And nobody wants to move on until we have 3 left, thats the vibe I'm getting.

    But I'm here to say if we can't vote something off soon we should move to ATYCLB

    here's why we should:

    Dsicotheque: at 9 points, its the co-leader of the pack. this is what Pop is about folks

    Mofo: good ol' Mofo, some like ya, some see you as the weakest. how can someone vote a song off with the lyrics "polydunk spacejunk", as if that could get any cooler.

    Staring at the Sun: one of the bright spots on the album (no pun intended). voting this off in a way is blasphemy and also you're voting off a song from the SLANE DVD

    Gone: I have to praise it here, even though I hate the album mix. It's a great song, good lyrics, it's alright.

    Please: like discotheque, this can't be touched.

    Why we should should continue with Pop voting:

    Mofo is at 5 points, close to the bottom. Is this fair for one of the best U2-openers?

    Gone is also close to the bottom. Then again the album mix sucks, it does. The count in just doesnt work and the song jumps out and in a way scares ya. The new mix is based off the live version, and I will gladly vote for the Mike Hedges mix if it were switched with the Pop version.

    my thought is that Gone should go, it just doesnt work on the album. live wise, its great. perhaps we should change the mix of Gone? i'd gladly vote for it if it were the Mike Hedges mix. any thoughts?

    exactly what I'm trying to say. problem is the Gone and Mofo battle will go on for a while, and its already been 3 days. this thing could last a week. during that time Staring at the Sun almost got knocked off from negligence. my concern is if we vote off Mofo, then another song, which might not be Gone, will be voted off. and to be honest, we all love Discotheque, SATS and Please (judging from the votes). I think those 3 should be the reps of the album.

    maybe we should have a Mofo vs. Gone vote?

    But does that matter? It's representative fo the people who vote, and it's effectively democratic in that we vote to take a point off etc. If it was on what you or I thought, no doubt it would look different - I am positive that IGWSHA is one of the best songs, but that went early and I accept that because people voted it off!

    I don't necessarily see why everyone get's concerned about how long each round takes, it's not like there's a great rush to get EVERYTHING voted for lol? We use our opinions to vote on songs, and that's where it's represented. I don't mean this in any kind of offensive way, but to be honest, I don't think anyone's necessarily gonna lose sleep because you worry that Gone will take precedence over another song

We use our opinions to vote on songs, and that's where it's represented - no offence mate, but your fear isn't something to take into account (about Gone surviving and something else not), we each get one vote a day and we use it I don't necessarily see why everyone get's concerned about how long each round takes, I can't see there being any time limit to keep up with!


    i dont know, this is one of the fun things on the site... one of the things i look forward to every day. your post really got me thinking... if we're voting to represent something later on, whats it worth later? from now on i'm voting for anything. you say we all have own our opinions, right on!

    Well, not quite anything - there's only so many songs in a round at any one time, and you only get one vote a day

    I don't know what it's worth later, I figured this was just a bit of fun, like you said - at the end, we'll see the songs that people voted the most for, and say that "this represents the vote of the people what did votes for it and whats they thinks is good", essentially, i.e. not a lot!
