  1. I have `U2 Complete' on my ipod which I bought from I-Tunes when it came out. However since I have had this, I ahve not managed to get the discs to list in order on my ipod. There are 67, but for some reason they list alphabetically such as the album name. Does anyone know how I can get the albums/songs to list in disc order 1-67?

  2. thats itunes for ya. The only way I can get my bootlegs to list in chronological order is by date first. ie 1993-08-27
    1993-08-28 etc.

    All my studio stuff is in alphabetic though. drew might have some extra info but he'l not be on until later tonight
  3. u can do that by making a smart list from itunes but it has one problem that it will list the songs not the albums

    u select file --------- smart playlist choose artis to be u2 and then ok then press on the date it will arranged by the date ( the same arrangement in the complete u2 as it's arranged by date )
  4. All my U2 stuff is in a playlist called 'U2 1979-2008" and you can put everything in order in a playlist, so it's all chronological.

    Same with my playlist "U2 Live" - they're all chronological. Then furthermore, each show has a grouping such as "Zoo TV Tour" and I use the grouping for smart playlists, so I get Zoo concerts together, Lovetown together etc.
  5. yeah, I have playlists for all of mine, "Album 01, Album 02, etc" and for each tour I'll have, "Vertigo 01, Zoo TV 02, etc"
  6. The problem is that when iTunes released this they listed the year in the Info as 2004 for everything. So it will only list alphabetically.

    Unless....

    You go through and change each disc (1-67) to the year that it was released. You can do it in blocks for each album/single by highlighting all the relevant songs (shift + click) and right-clicking to bring up the 'Get Info' tab. Change the year and there's only one thing to be done then

    At the top where it says 'Artist', 'Album', 'Name', 'Time' etc... Click on 'Album' until it shows the tab 'Album by Year' instead. If you did the step above correctly then you should have it in chronological (ie year) order.

    Personally I can't be arsed with it, but if it's important to you, this is how you do it
  7. Or you could right-click each album, go to Get Info and put in Disc ID.

    For Early Demos it'd be 1, Boy would be 2....etc.
