    Typical response from someone who knows he's been outvoted on the matter. You thought you'd take off with the little petition. How wrong you were.

    You were digging yourself a hole from the off. Stealing is against the law. I dare bet every legal system in the world condemns stealing. I'm not religious, but God also said that stealing is wrong. So how you can possibly think that stealing is our right is so far beyond me. It's like Ford making cars and letting you just take them out of the showroom without paying. That's how ridiculous it is. If you want to acquire something that you don't own, you have to purchase it. That's life. People make a living from this, if everyone stole, where would we be today?

    Come on Macphistfly. Think about what you said and what we're saying and then justify what you said. Because i can't see any logic behind what you said.

    I'm referring to anyone who believes it is their RIGHT to download music because they have a computer and internet access.
    Somewhere along the line, people just assumed it is their right because it is easy to do and hard to police.
    To lash out at Paul because he wants to stop ILLEGAL downloading is silly.
    He is wrong because he is rich? That is an immature argument.
    He has enough money so he should just lay off seems to be the idea from the initial post.
    I guess we should all get into the concerts for free now too since the band has enough money.

Jaysus people on this site get so wound up about things,Its just a fucken rock band wonder do they argue like this on the simple minds website,You cant express an opion without some web nerd giving you a fucken right drubbing for your opion.Its the same on U2.com some of them would come looking for ya without a machine gun to take you out if you say anything negative.I doubt Bono would approve.

    I don't criticize you as a person but some of the arguments you were putting across just didn't level with me so I replied. What would the world be without a good debate eh? Discussion boards are for discussions, how boring would it be if we all just posted our own thoughts and never interacted or disagreed with one another. And if by 'Web Nerd' you mean someone posting on this site (just like you have done) then i'm guessing you also class yourself as a web nerd? If you were to spend a little time reading through the boards here then you would see that not all of us believe that there is light shining out of Bono's ass. It's a U2 site so most opinions are gonna be positive but constructive criticism is welcome and respected but not always agreed with.
