Yeah pretty much, I want to make the tone ring than what it does at the moment, which is probably more suited to sort of metal stuff rather than epic rock. My guitar is just a basic Ridgewood Fender copy, to be fair for a copy it's actually not too bad; has 3 single pickups - like I say, the tone I have at the moment is a combination of delay and gain, and I have the pedal set to whack up the distortion, but say when I'm playing like UTEOTW, I drop the distortion for the verses etc. but it sounds too choppy rather than that clear ringyness Edge gets. I dunno whether that's just the pickups not being top quality, but it really does irk me. Like, I want to try and achieve the tone that he gets for something like I Will Follow, where the riff is really clear yet has "oomph" behind it...

HUmm, you know I Will Follow is the explorer, so you will need a bit more of a body to your sound, since single pick ups have a "thin" sound. You could try having some more of medium frequencies for the body and highs for the attack. Try messing around with the EQs. And the neck pick up sound a bit fuller than the other, start from there. Basically, you won't really get close to his End Of The World tone if you don't have humbuckers.

Yeah, that was my worry, I don't pretend to be technically knowledgeable, I just pick up and play as it were, but I had a feeling it was down to the actual technicalities of the guitar, not just the pedal. Cheers mate will give it a go.
