I'm jana, 19, from germany and just recently got to know this site through macstripey
I really haven't been around here much at all, but I'm looking forward to spending time here,
since I haven't been an active member of a u2 forum for some time.
when did I start listening to u2? quite hard to tell.
I started really recognizing them when the video 'elevation' was released and when my dad bought atyclb later on (he owns the joshua tree, under a blood red sky and atyclb) I simply stole it from his cd player and listened to it 24/7
that phase died down and didn't come up again since they released vertigo and that 'phase' stayed until now
and I dare to say it's going to stay forever. u2 have a place in my heart that's not replaceable. period.
so far, I've only seen them live once (vertigo tour, 2005, in june, germany), but it's been a great experience and I can't wait for the next tour to start and relive it all again!
well, what else to say:
I'm still going to school, but it's my final year now and I'll be done in a few months.
after that I'll probably go to university and do something either with design or journalism, I'm not quite sure yet
in general, I'm not someone who goes out partying, I rather like staying at home to read or watch some good movies (fav actors are alan rickman, ralph fiennes, geoffrey rush...), play with photoshop etc - yeah, I'm not really exciting 
if there are any questions though I'll most likely answer them. just ask away!
