  1. Here in America, suddenly EVERYONE announces that they're part Irish, sometimes tracing it back generations and saying that their great-great-great-great grandfather was Irish. (although, everyone knows it's all a lie.)

    Regardless, I'll be throwing back a pint or two tonight and listening to the best band in the world.

    Doesn't piss me off at all. It's the one day a year where people get to feel Irish so let them enjoy the experience. Even in Ireland its just an excuse for a piss up.

  7. so, its only right in the spirit of U2 that I ask. I had a great day yesterday. I am not Irish, I'm actually the furthest thing from Irish (jewish and italian) but because of U2 I feel like I am somewhat Irish. Basically, I just got stupid drunk with some buddies and listened to some great tunes. Mostly Thrice. Got into a few arguments at the bar we went too about U2. Mostly, because of the morons that insist on hating U2 even though they have no idea about the band. I hit on a buddies girlfriend. Called my "friend with benefits" at 1:30 in the morning and told her to come over. Soon after, I passed out and don't remember a thing. She did come over but I don't think she got into the house because I was blacked out drunk. haha Overall a success. Although, I am feeling the aftermath today. How was yours???
