    preferably with cracking quality.

    Hello there, no need to be shy here! Just be yourself..

    An excellent version of WOWY, well, first of all: do you mean performance quality or audio quality?

    Some good performances are Point Depot 12-26-1989 and 12-30-1989. Also most of the early Zoo TV versions(1992) are pretty good. Also try Paris 1987 (The DVD for perfect audio)

    12-26 is great quality, if you want a cracking recording, than try WOWY from Rattle and Hum, also very good.

    yea performance quality
    i have a few already
    but im particulary looking for one where Bono has a strong voice and the edges guitar is clear.

    I'm listening to 2006-02-20 Sao Paulo Brazil Morumbi
    along those lines its alrite
    but i know what you mean by the early zoo stuff

    Sao Paulo is great also..I don't really like the WOWY's from Vertigo, too flat and less energetic for me compared to Joshua and Lovetown. But there are some nice one's though. Glad I could help, your welcome!

    About WOWY, the guys have given you some great suggestions. If you're looking for a good performance, Vertigo really isn't the right way to go...the best ones are in Joshua/LoveTown and after those in ZooTV. In vertigo Bono's voice isn't that powerful, and the emotions are less.

    And by that he means the 26th ...yep that's a good one.
    As I said, the ones everyone mentioned cover my favorites too....

    edit: The one from the Paris DVD is one my all time favorites too, not despite the tear gas incident, BECAUSE of the tear gas incident and the snippets that Bono sings
