It's my favorite one! You gotta admit, that intro is just awesome... but everyone has a different opinion, I guess

Bono's voice, it sounds wrecked lol - but I think it's one of the best show openers they've ever used, I'd love to have been at a PopMart show after PopMuzik has died down and you get that throbbing melody just pulsing through. Plus his voice is so much better when he does it live in my opinion...

    Yes

Now that I will agree on.

    Hairs - neck - attention
  4. Ooh, this is a good debate.

I think I'm in "Please" camp, although "Running To Stand Still" is a VERY close second.

They really haven't done anything to make the song different than when they started playing it back in '84. I forgot that it was even on Rattle & Hum, because I was sick of it even then!

Not the same as being there.... [re. PopMart shows]

Glad you think the same - if ZooTV had been opened with Zoo Station in a similar vein to Vertigo tour encores, i.e. Edge has a different guitar and the drums are really beefed up with some kickarse bass, then I would perhaps be a bit more torn between the two...

...and you have NO IDEA how jealous I am lol, that you got to experience PopMart in its glory - I was pissing about with Action men then lol...my friend(whose a massive U2 fan aswell, and whom I will be pointing in this direction soon...)'s dad saw PopMart at Wembley.

    We haven't forgiven him yet...

Well, I've already made my bed but to clarify, RTSS JUST eclipses Please (although I think it's a great song in iself...)

EDIT - someone should post a topic re. RTSS vs. Please for best Streets intro. I don't Elevation tour had a designated intro did it? Bad/40 and All I Want Is You (I'm using the DVDs as reference here) are a bit different in that respect, and forget the Vertigo method of Pride/Bono's Africa speeches - noble a cause as it is, not the same impact...

I was in high school and wanted to go to the show in Eugene, but it's a 2 hour drive from Portland and it was a school night....my mom said no.

Not only just. It kicks its arse! I'm always bored shitless during Please. No life, no momentum into Streets at all for me. The segue from RTSS into Streets during Zoo is brilliant and it works.
