Were you playing them at 45 or 33 rpms? Might have to do with it. Singles are usually designed to be played at 45, but maybe that b-sides are in 33... Try it (when playing a 33 vynil at 45, you notice a increase in the song speed, and a higher tone too). If you didn't know the songs, you probably didn't notice it, but try them at 33 rpms

I was playing them at 45. But I took a close look to it and I see now that you have to play the B-side at 33 Strange that you have to play one side at 45 and the other at 33. Who invented that??

Anyway, thanks for the advice, gonna try it tomorrow!

Both B-sides are probably longer than the 7 minutes (7') allowed at 45rpm
