I wanted to pre-order this on U2.com, but apparently it is not / no longer possible to pay with American Express (it used to be possible since I have always paid my U2.com membership, or was that not through fanfire? Don't know). I am next week in London for the gig in the O2, I presume HMV will have it still available then (not possible to order through their website either)?
    Yes that should be fine
They also have the songs of experience box set on cyan vinyl currently 50% off so £34.99

I have reached the time in my life when I think I can handle parting with a large portion of the collection I started back in 1982 and stopped a few years ago. The fact that I kept saying, "I didn't know I had this," is an indication that there are a lot of things I won't miss!

There will be some items that I end up realizing I have too much of an attachment to and can't let go of. So far, there is only one item that has a definite "never for sale" note on, which is the four autographs I got after my first U2 concert in 1983, where I got pulled up on stage to dance with Bono! (I was 19, and excitedly recounting the experience took up 11 pages in my diary. )

Because there's so much I don't have time to look up the values on everything but the Discogs site gives a good range and a lot of you probably know more than I do anyway. Aaron Sams has also given me an indication of what some items are worth. I still haven't had a chance to take photos of all the posters, postcards and buttons but I can always send those later. Also, I live in Oregon so if you're in the geographical area you can look at stuff in person, too. Here's a link to the document, which is divided into spreadsheets for each type of media. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13Q4tljCh3xD-SFaQbg9CWSCq2eTguaGVmzHz4Fdb4G0/edit?usp=sharing

Very nice items on the list. I have bought a few, arrived very well packed and reasonable prices. For those who want to expand their U2 collection, this is your chance.
  9. It's only stuff. I won't be taking this with me. Really it is the result of not smoking, drinking, doing drugs etc and my money has gone on something that can still remain from the enjoyment as opposed to the aforementioned 'vices' which are short lived (but longer lasting by way of what they can cause).
I have truly enjoyed music from as far back as I can recall, then it became a hobby as my understanding broadened and I discovered a much wider world other than U2, and now it is a way of life.

This U2 hobby will keep you busy for life! It sounds like you are really enjoying the whole experience of collecting their output. I remember when I started working I would visit record fairs a lot and pick up all sorts of finds. Now the internet has taken over but not always fruitful for those more exotic releases.
