1. Does anybody know which version of The Fly is in the movie? I just love the intro where Edge plays some wrong chords and Bono asks "Where is the fly?". Is there allready a soundborad recording of the movie?
  2. Probably the first Buenos Aires gig, not available here though except for some Youtube-rips.

There is a rumour of one. But it would count as official material, or at the very least pirated material.

So you won't get it here.

The boots from those shows (BA, Santiago etc) are nearly all first-rate though, so get those I would suggest
  4. I thought it was argentina alright . there was some sort of power failure at the start and the edge played a bit of gene geanie whille they got his rig sorted . just as bono says "where is the fly" the power came back and he ripped into it . savage stuff . I have it ripped from the dvd if anyone wants it(the argentina show that is not the u23d one obviously) . might as well share the wealth . the version in the film is nicely edited to hear one of the technicians say something like "the power just went" and he can be heard laughing when bono says "where is the fly?" . intro of the song itself in the film is top class . a great version . anyone wants it gerryhickey@yahoo.com . its in i pod format but can easily be converted back to mp3 .
  5. It's not the Buenos Aires gig shown here in the Bootleg Section, just listened to it.

It's the Sao Paulo gig that was broadcast on TV, and Bono plays the intro bit to fill in. Cracking bit of improvisation...

Last night i listened the BA bootleg as well as all the other South American boots available but none of them had the particular beginning of The Fly as in U23D. I know the version with the power outtage but i don't think it's the same.

Never trust U2's sound departement. They can do a lot of things to make it look real while they glued some parts together. During U23D I also saw Bono removing his glasses, 2 shots later, he was wearing them again. Looked strange to me...
