1. But U2's renditions of Can't Help Falling in Love and All Along the Watchtower are better than everyone elses.

Bono just has the voice to suit both songs.

I've grown listening the Can't Help Falling version from U2 (from Sydney 93) and I completely love it, but Elvis' version has something that cannot be matched...

Agree on Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Easily my fav. Beatles-song, but they totally screwed it

  4. I'm not a Beatles fan, I don't dislike them, I just don't listen to them. Anyway I thought at first that Happiness is a Warm Gun was a U2 song and written by U2. Then I saw the Beatles version on youtube and it sounded completely different. If you do like the Beatles original I can see why you don't like U2's version. I like it though, thought it would fit in well with the Pop album.

Just thought, I must listen to too much U2 if don't even know when they cover songs. I thought Can't Help Falling in Love, Helter Skelter, Paint it Black, Night and Day and Happiness is a Warm Gun were all written by U2 !

  11. ...when you're sitting at breakfast with your friends (none of them U2 fans) and suddenly GOYB is played on the radio - and you can't sit still anymore and tap your feet and nod your head and tell everyone that "this is U2, oh my god, for real" and grin like an idiot as if you hear that song for the first time ever couldn't help it
