  1. You think The Complete U2 will be updated & rereleased with the next album?

    Because I will be angry if it's not.

    I guess it was unwise to make "Complete U2" when they're still going, but whatever.
  2. who knows, i guess it's possible, and I agree with you and thought about it before. Hopefully it's not something stupid where those who have it already wouldn't have to buy it again, kind of like itunes selling U218 and making the only new songs 'album only' tracks. I bought the album anyway in the stores, but for casual fans that is a shitty deal. I wouldn't buy the complete U2 again for whatever new material is on it(of course this may change in the future) if i have to pay another 150
  3. I'm annoyed that iTunes expect you to cough up $299 for a box-set which is full of the same stuff. Do I really want 10 remixes of Mofo?

    I made a way better box-set: lossless audio from the real CDs. Costs nearly as much but I get the physical and virtual products as well. I don't expect Apple to re-release the U2 collection as they don't have another special edition iPod or any deals coming up any time soon that I can see.

    As I have it I'm hoping that there won't be a requirement to buy it all again too.

    I don't have it. Was it worth it if you have their entire back catalogue already? I heard there was some live material on there. A Point Depot show maybe?

    Yes and no.

    At that time I had all the CD albums and all the CD singles since The Fly. But no singles from before that.

    There was the Boston '81, Point Depot 31/12/89, Mexico '97 (as Hasta La Vista) shows. All the singles from U2:3 (so loads of early stuff I didn't have). Unreleased and Rare.

    It means I have a full U2 collection with no gaps, digitally at least. So, in that sense, yes, it was worth it.

    But there is an awful lot of repetition, especially of album tracks and the more widely known B-sides like Love comes Tumbling etc (the one's one the special edition best-of 80-90)

    Did you get Unreleased and Rare? I'd love to have it, this time in higher quality than 128Kbps AAC.

    This was before iTunes Plus came in (for 256Kbps downloads).I think only certain record labels are on that program - EMI is one of them.

    why would I pay £7.99 for a 128 album when for a quid extra I could go down to the record shop and get a physical album with artwork etc and rip it in whichever quality I choose.
