    Mine too.

The thing is, it would just be a close to a miracle. It could be done, but I would say even the ever greedy and powerful LiveNation would discourage it. If the tour is booked (and there would be no reason to doubt Willie Williams) then that puts U2 on the hook to commit and it's hard for me to believe they would make such a commitment without being much more than reasonably sure they are ready and able to make that commitment (which says to me Spring 2017)

I have a good feeling about it this time for whatever reason...I still think they had a lot of SoE done before they even released SoI, otherwise the campaign wouldn't have been all about "Innocence and Experience". They would've have known they had to follow up with the second half before people forgot about the first half.
Yes, but this is our beloved U2. Having a song done too early makes it irrelevant and disposable by the time something new rolls around in the studio.... It's the process.

  3. With Clive Davis yesterday.

With Bono in France there's really an incredible amount of selfies on a daily basis.
  4. Like I've always said... When Bono starts blasting songs for passers-by on the beach in France, then we know to get ready!

They had dates booked in Fall 2014, but cancelled because album wasn't finished.

That said, they do have the Cow Palace locked in for Dreamforce. Maybe rehearsals at Cow Palace and then open tour at the new arena in Sacramento the next week. Similar scheduling as Vancouver last year.

Just spitballing. Helps that they're local shows for me.
  6. Like everyone else I would love this to be true. However, from yesterdays photo stream out of St Tropez....ummmm...I can't imagine how many cocktails went into what may have been something as simple as "uh sure we'll play miami first"

But for Bono... Mission accomplished! Another rumor leaked and going viral. Promotion 101!

Guess it could work. Cow Palace is only booked weekends in October. I guess they could work around the livestock convention and medical marijuana convention. Although the livestock convention is 2 weekends, so they'd have to rehearse to the fresh smell of manure in between.

We'll see. Gonna be an interesting couple of months.

Someone needs to airdrop Ali into St Tropez stat. I can't take another bicycle incident.

I heard "Miami first, possibly in October" a month and a half back from a well informed source, so it's definitely not something that was said in the heat of cocktails and party.

I agree. I'm just thinking of the standard formula. ie went on sale beginning of december for end of may shows. So, basically 6 months. Now, we're looking at less than three if these rumors were true. Forget celebrities, it leaves no time for all of our self-employed, well off world traveller friends that are fortunate enough to afford and see every show on the tour to put their itineraries together and book all their hotels and find someone to watch their dogs for months...

Point taken, but If I recall correctly, 360 tickets went on sale shortly after NLOTH came out (first week of March) and the first show in Barcelona was June 30...so that was just under four months. This wouldn't be too far off, then. Plus, as others have noted, this will be a continuation of the i&e tour. So apart from making sure they are able to play some of the newer songs, they won't need a ton of time to be ready. This isn't like PopMart when they were scrambling to launch a massive, entirely new show, right?

I would love this to be true. If that's the case, shouldn't somebody be like, working out or training or practicing for tour. I know Adam's somewhere doing sit-ups.
