I don't think it's true though. If it is true, does this point to no European tour next summer?

They did Glastonbury in the middle of the US 2011 tour so I don't see the logic behind that

I don't see them headlining any "minor" festival.

Here's an interesting article from The Tennessean about 2017 being a pivotal year for Bonnaroo as it is coming off it's worst year of attendance... Doesn't confirm U2, obviously, but kind of alludes to the fact that they really need to get a great line-up together.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm sick of hearing about possible show rumours when we don't even have confirmation of the album release date. Maybe because the two recent shows were totally like.."why?" I dunno, it's starting to irk me.
