    Seriously: as usual, the tricky part is knowing how developed are these 18 "songs". Are they ideas? Completed drafts? Full songs? Just sketches? We all know they a number of songs can eventually morph into a single one, and also the other way round...


    If you think about it, it is possible that they could have 18 completed songs. After all, their SOI album cycle produced 14 songs, 15 if we include Ordinary Love.

  4. It's funny. Back when SoI dropped and Bono mentioned SoE being a thing to follow it, I assumed that meant SoE was basically done and they were just releasing them separately. They must've had some idea of a second album while working on SoI.

    Makes me wonder. If they had 10 songs they set aside for SoE after finishing SoI, are those 10 songs still on the new album? How many are? Is the new album just stuff they've been doing over the past couple years as opposed to the stuff they had while working on SoE?

    Yep i fell for that, beLIEving within a few months (6 at best) U2 have a follow up album .
    .....Well i guess they did have another album ready???, but as time went on decided to reinvent it!...again ....and again.
  12. Well, just read the opening posts of the Song of Experience topic. We were so convinced that we'd already forgotten about SOI. This upcoming SOE is not the SOE that Bono spoke about in September 2014.
