  7. This is incorrect. U2 shouldn't give a damn about their fanbase. They should be doing whatever they think is enjoyable. People misunderstand how being a fan works. Being a fan means you get to enjoy something the artist enjoys doing, it does not mean you get to dictate what the artist gets to do. If that bothers you, don't let the door hit you on your way out.

    That's just your opinion. I do not agree with your opinion. It is never possible for a fan to dictate what the artist gets to do. You misunderstand how being a fan works. Can you maybe explain when people outside of the U2 fanbase say good things about U2, that's a good thing? Why is this important for you? If this lazy xxx song will be the standard for SOE, I'm sure their will be fans on the way out. This xxx song is lazy, that's what bothers me.
