    Been covered already...bit of a non story but a cheap headline for The Guardian. I've seen quite a few frankly libellous comments on FB about him tbh

  7. Aye, I can only presume this is likely to be the doings of the company he has employed to look after his tax affairs and minimise his tax liabilities.

    Whilst tax avoidance is not illegal in and of itself (unlike tax evasion), it appears this particular company are using an 'unlawful accounting technique' *if* that BBC article is accurate.

    As shrewd and business savvy as Bono is, would he be involved in the minutiae of all that his accountants do in order to minimise his tax liabilities? I can't imagine so. Should he be? I don't know, I would say probably not, afterall what is he? A philanthropist social activist rock star, or an accountant?

  10. Yeah you would hope so. Anyway looks like they're digging up other names now. Seems its an industry that needs some tighter regulation and compliance procedures.
