    Well even though I like a bit of debate I’m always happy when I can find someone who agrees with me too. Makes me question my own sanity a little less lol. Seriously though I think similarly your passion for the band shines through just like many others on here. There’s many different ways of getting that passion across but it’s present in all manners and forms on this site. Anyway I should apologise I’m dragging things further off topic but as I said it’s nice to be in agreement, I appreciate the comment.
  3. I'm also now a bigger fan than the person (my dad) who first introduced me to them. I've been getting the (admittedly playful) 'dad rock' comments from my friends for a good few years now, though I've definitely been successful in converting over a few of my pals.

    I always felt like I was in the minority but I absolutely love SOI. I listened to it full again recently and enjoyed basically every moment. SOE has grown on me slightly but I still don’t like it nearly as much as SOI. I also listened through No Line recently as well and really enjoyed it. There are moments and ideas on that album that really make me feel it was a masterpiece in the making but got a little bogged down with overthinking and overproduction. It’s funny that the last few albums I’ve grabbed lately to throw on from u2 have been post 2000.

    Like me, you've probably "worn out" the first 9 albums.

    LOL... if you're in the minority, I can only imagine where that lands me... I really dig all 3 of aforementioned records. All have have their "lulls" (that's what I'll call them) But there's nothing that I dislike enough to skip through when listening... and when i'm pulling out the vinyl, no line usually wins over atyclb and htdaab...

    SOI is in my top3 of all time favorite U2 records, if I am also in the minority, no problem to me.
  8. It’s possibly the case that we’re not in much of a minority in regards to SOI on the likes of these fan sites but in the wider public I’m sure we’re very much in the minority. Likewise though it isn’t an issue, I do sometimes feel like I want the band to get more praise for SOI but in the grand scheme of things it isn’t important.

    Not to sound like a stereotypical vinyl guy but NLOTH without a doubt sounds way better on vinyl
