Great interview indeed, thanks for posting

What surprises me is that there are no new "Beach Clips" then, as Bono says they're playing 25-30 new songs almost every day in Eze

Gonna take the 4-albums stuff with a pinch of salt tough

It also seems like the band thinks NLOTH is too difficult for us to understand then...
  2. Great interview. Always love those inside looks into the bands thinking and mindset

for the general audience it is too hard. And I can see that as well.
  4. Great interview!

    Thanks for post it here

And I like wha they're doing with the band's future right now. 25-30 new songs is something amazing if we notice they're still on tour. The idea of play the "best" new songs live is really nice!

  5. I know what he means about NLOTH. It's not an accesible album, but I don't think that's because its artsy, I just think it's because it could have used a few better songs.
  6. "What? They noticed my idiotic lyrics and some of the bad arrangements? ... Let's tell them they're just too dumb to get it. It's artsy...."

No Line is a great song, if you're insinuating otherwise you've got a lot of people to disagree with you.

That said, Magnifcent/UC/Crazy Tonight/SUC could have been a dickload better.

Kind of what I was thinking.

I think he meant the album as a wholee....

  10. Nope I think the album is among their best but only brought down by Boots, Magniifcent, Unknown Caller (awkward song for the public), Stand Up, White as Snow...
  11. Quote from U2.com:

"Over the years a unique community of artists have shared a recording studio with U2.
From folk to punk, from country to blues and soul, these extraordinary collaborations have spanned musical genres... but until now they've never been collected together.

'U2: DUALS' is a specially commissioned collection capturing U2 in collaboration with other artists over three decades.
Following in the tradition of 'Artificial Horizon', 'Medium, Rare and Remastered' and other releases special to U2.com, 'U2 : DUALS' is a limited edition release which will not be on sale in shops or online.

A collectors-edition release, it's part of the 2010/2011 U2.com subscription package. Subscribers also get the chance to participate in a presale for tickets for upcoming U2 shows - including presales beginning in the next few days for the November/December shows in New Zealand and Australia."
